Historic monument with charming 15th-century exterior along an equally historic street, well-maintained facilities and warm atmosphere - you couldn't ask for more from a budget hotel like the Hotel la Madeleine. It is situated in Brussels' old town, within walking distance of the Gare Centrale and Grand Place. The rooms at the Hotel la Madeleine look like they've been refreshed and are clean and cosy. The furniture may be traditional in style but you'll have no gripes about it. Most rooms have en-suite shower facilities. Considering the building's period architecture, it's almost a surprise to find a lift here - a modern convenience that cannot be taken for granted even in cities like London. Staff are always happy to help and arrange for things like car rentals, coach tours and flight arrangements. Wi-Fi Internet access is available on the ground floor and you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the breakfast room in the morning.
